OLD HARVESTING CUSTOMS

In Nova Subocka just near Novska, on the 08th of  July 2012. on the farm of  Ivan and Vjera Ožoga, a manifestation named "OLD HARVESTING CUSTOMS" took place.

This event began with hand moving of grain, gathering the grain and bringing it to the threshing machine and threshing it with a thresher "dreša". After threshing, grain was ground in an old mill. Homemade bread out of that flour was baked in the traditional bread oven.

The host served homemade cheese and bacon for breakfast and a traditional chicken stew for dinner.

An exhibition of traditional crafts was held during this manifestation.
